Laser Surgery
Dr. Jordan has been involved with laser surgery since 1991. With currently available laser systems, it is possible to remove excess lid skin and fat bags as well as wrinkle lines in the eyelid area, or entire face, under local anesthesia. The laser procedure takes a short time to perform. There is little, if any, bleeding, since the laser seals blood vessels as it is applied. Laser skin resurfacing is a major break through in wrinkle removal. Dr. Jordan has been very impressed with the laser's precision, pinpoint accuracy and control.
Laser skin resurfacing is an ultra modern technique that restores the natural health and vitality to your skin without many of the side effects associated with dermabraison or chemical peels. It can be applied to isolated areas such as the crows' lines beside the eyelids or to the entire face under local anesthesia as an outpatient. Recovery is fast and most people go back to work within 1 to 2 weeks.
Dr. Jordan also uses Botulinum toxin, or "Botox® ", to remove worry lines between the eyebrows. When Botox is injected, it temporarily paralyzes the muscles responsible for creating the wrinkles and as a result, the overlying skin appears smooth. It is used most commonly to eliminate the wrinkling between the brows and crows feet beside the lids. The injection is very safe, takes a few minutes to carry out, and lasts up to 6 months.
Dr. Jordan can raise your upper lids and remove your unwanted lower lid fat bags that don't go away with a good night's rest or vacation.The new laser systems available allow the surgery to be carried out faster with much less bruising then scalpel surgery. The same laser can also remove your unwantedwrinkle lines around the eyelids, lips, chin or entire face. A variety of lumps and bumps can also be vaporized with laser.
